Vicki Baker

Vicki has been working with children since graduating from Exeter University in 2009.  With a variety of experience from being a nanny, Kindergarten Teacher, trainee social worker and working for a number of years as a SENCO and School Counsellor.  

Vicki has a Masters in Social Work; a Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling; a Diploma in Special Educational Needs; 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (with additional qualifications in Parent/Carer and baby yoga and children's yoga); and is currently training as a Play Therapist.  She is a member of  the Singapore Association of Social Workers and a Senior Member of ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists UK).

With a passion for play and a strong belief that every child can fulfil their potential and develop a positive attitude to life, build resilience, have self-respect and accept and recognise emotions.

Practical Play strives to work with children and their families to build lifelong skills.  Children need play to communicate, connect and understand their emotions, social situations and change, all to build practical skills to flourish.
